South Korea's opposition failed to oust the president

Due to insufficient votes, South Korea's National Assembly has failed to pass a motion to impeach President Yun Seok Yeol.

According to the South Korean Yonhap Agency, the National Assembly voted on the proposal to impeach the president.

The approval of 200 parliament members was required to make such a decision. However, the decision was not made due to an insufficient number of votes.
