Romania has accused Russia of interfering in the presidential elections

Romania's National Security Council has declassified documents that describe a large-scale Russian campaign to help the country's far-right presidential candidate, the Financial Times reports.

According to the Romanian special services, "cybercrime platforms of Russian origin" received access data to Romanian electoral websites and organized more than 85,000 cyber attacks on them, including directly on election day.

In addition, as the special services found out, Russia organized a large-scale network on TikTok to support Georgescu.

According to the Romanian special services, the work of the network of accounts supporting Georgeska was coordinated through Discord and Telegram chats.

The Constitutional Court of Romania confirmed the results of the first round of presidential elections on December 2. The second round will take place on December 8.
