Anti-government armed groups in Syria have moved closer to the central city of Hama on Tuesday, according to Reuters, as the attack on Hama increases pressure on Bashar al-Assad's government, which is backed by Russian and Iranian allies.
Hama has remained under the control of the Syrian government since the civil war broke out in the country in 2011.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated in an interview that Tehran plans to discuss the possibility of sending troops to Syria.
It should be noted that on Monday, hundreds of Iraqi militiamen supported by Iran entered Syria to support Syrian government forces, Iraqi and Syrian sources said.
In recent days, the Russian and Syrian air forces have intensified their strikes against the rebels, the representatives of both sides announced.
