Russian authorities used presidential planes and funds to transport Ukrainian children from the occupied territories. Reuters informs Radar Armenia.
According to a Yale University study, 314 children were taken to Russia as part of a coordinated Kremlin-funded "Russification" program, stripped of their Ukrainian identity, and placed with Russian families.
Researchers Nathaniel Raymond, executive director of the Yale Laboratory for Humanitarian Studies, said he planned to present the findings to the United Nations Security Council, a 15-member body chaired by the United States, this month.
Raymond said the research offered evidence to support additional ICC charges against Putin for "forcibly transferring" people from a national and ethnic group.
He also said the report proved that "the deportation of Ukrainian children is part of a systematic, Kremlin-led plan" to turn them into Russian citizens.
