The Baltic states have banned the entry of Ivanishvili and the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Gabrielius Landsbergis, announced the decision of the authorities to ban the entry of representatives of the ruling party of Georgia and high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The politician wrote about this on his "X" page.

Latvia and Estonia have also approved similar sanctions. Thus, three EU countries banned Ivanishvili and the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia from entering the country.

The following officials are included in the list of sanctions due to responsibility for human rights violations:

  • Bidzina Ivanishvili, Honorary President of "Georgian Dream".

  • Vakhtang Gomelauri, Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia

  • Shalva Bedoidze, First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs

  • Ioseb Chelidze, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs

  • Alexander Darakhvelidze, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs

  • Giorgi Butkhuzi, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs

  • Zviad Kharazishvili, Head of the Department for Special Assignments (under US sanctions)

  • Miller Lagazzauri, Deputy Chief of Special Operations Department (under US sanctions)

  • Mirza Kezevadze, Deputy Head of the Department for Special Assignments

  • Vazha Siradze, director of the Patrol Police Department

  • Teymuraz Kupatadze, director of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia
