The opposition parties in Georgia refused the mandates

The opposition coalitions in Georgia refused their mandates in the new parliament, and their registration in the CEC was cancelled.

The Central Electoral Commission canceled the registration of the other candidates nominated by the opposition coalitions "For Changes," "Unity-National Movement," and "Strong Georgia."

The legislation made the decision based on the parties' application.

It is emphasized that the CEC's decision to cancel the lists does not mean it shares the parties' assessments of the elections.

In addition, the opposition "Gakharia for Georgia" party has not yet appealed to the CEC despite the published decision to give up seats in the parliament.

"We will give up the mandates when necessary," Gakharia stated.
