The President of Mexico threatened Trump

The President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, responded to the announcement of the newly elected US President Donald Trump, who announced that he would impose a 25 percent tariff on Mexican goods if the country does not stop the flow of drugs and migrants across the border.

Scheinbaum, reminding that American car manufacturers have factories on both sides of the border.

"This is unacceptable and will lead to inflation and job losses in Mexico and the United States. If tariffs go up, who will it hurt? General Motors?" Sheinbaum added.

He stated that Mexico has already done a lot to stop the flow of migrants, noting that "there are no more caravans of migrants at the border."

"Dialogue is the best way for our two countries to achieve mutual understanding, peace, and prosperity. I hope our teams can meet soon," Sheinbaum said.
