US President-elect Donald Trump's team is considering holding talks directly with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, hoping it will help reduce the risks of an armed conflict, Reuters reported, citing its sources.
According to the agency, several people on Trump's team hope to use the existing direct contacts between the US and the North Korean leader to restore US-North Korean relations and "break the ice" between the countries.
