The ceasefire regime between Israel and Lebanon has entered into force

The ceasefire regime between Israel and Lebanon has entered into force. Reports the BBC, referring to the Israeli government.

However, an hour before the establishment of a ceasefire, airstrikes were carried out on the southern suburbs of Beirut, news agencies reported.

According to the terms of the ceasefire, Israeli troops will be withdrawn from Lebanon within 60 days, and Hezbollah militants will leave the border areas, instead of which the Lebanese army soldiers will be stationed there.

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated in a televised message that the duration of the ceasefire agreement will depend on Hezbollah's actions. If the group tries to arm again, it will be considered a violation of the agreement.

US President Joe Biden also delivered a message, "The hostilities will end. It should be a permanent ceasefire." Biden also expressed hope that a ceasefire in Lebanon could lead to peace in the entire Middle East and allow an end to the war in the Gaza Strip, where the Israeli military is fighting the Hamas group.
