Keir Starmer hinted that Storm Shadow's permission was also. The Times

The news that the US has allowed Ukraine to use ATACMS has left UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer with the need to voice his position on Storm Shadow missiles.

As The Times writes, at first, Starmer's aides insisted on using the lack of official approval from the White House.

The "turning point," according to a Foreign Office source, came when Russia drew North Korean soldiers into the conflict in what was described as a "serious escalation."

In the past, the UK announced Storm Shadow deployments after they had been used on the battlefield so as not to give Putin a strategic advantage.

"We must ensure that Ukraine has what it needs until it wins this war. "I'm not going to get into operational issues because if I do, there's only one winner, and that's Putin," Starmer said.

Senior government sources said Stormer's wording change was deliberate and hinted that previous objections to the Americans' use of Storm Shadow had now been lifted.
