US President Joe Biden made the right decision by allowing Ukraine to use American weapons to strike Russian territory. French leader Emmanuel Macron announced this at the G20 summit held in Rio de Janeiro.
According to the president, Biden's move was a response to Russia's participation of North Korean troops in the war in Ukraine.
"Russia is the only country that made an escalation decision. That gap led to the US decision," Macron said.
Earlier, the media reported that US President Joe Biden, two months before the end of his presidential term, allowed Ukraine to use ATACMS in the Kursk region of Russia for the defense of Ukraine's armed forces.
France announced that permission to strike military targets on Russian territory remains an option on the agenda.
