Germany's "Greens" party has chosen Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck as its candidate for chancellor in the Bundestag elections.
On the ARD TV channel air, the figure announced that if he won, he would agree to send long-range German Taurus missiles to Ukraine. Habek, who has been in office since December 2021, has assured that he will reverse Olaf Scholz's decision.
German opposition leader Friedrich Merz, also running for the new chancellor post, promised to change Germany's policy on helping Ukraine. In his opinion, Germany is not taking enough steps to ensure Ukraine's victory in the war.
