Zelensky urged Scholz not to call Putin

Reuters writes that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged German Chancellor Olaf Scholz not to call Vladimir Putin.

According to the source, the President of Ukraine warned the Chancellor of Germany that "a conversation with the dictator of the Kremlin will reduce his isolation and allow him to continue the war."

It is noted that Scholz previously informed Zelensky about the plans to discuss the situation with the Russian leader. Zelensky said such a conversation would only strengthen Putin, who seeks peace and a temporary pause.

"Putin will repeat his old false statements, creating the illusion of lifting isolation," added the source.
