Raffaele Grossi arrived in Tehran in an attempt to restore IAEA inspectors' access to the country's nuclear program and gain a complete picture of Iran's nuclear program.
"We know that at this moment, it is necessary to get concrete, tangible, and visible results that will prove that this joint work improves the situation, brings clarity to what is happening, and, in a general sense, moves us away from conflict and, ultimately, war." said the head of IAEA.
He will visit the Iranian uranium enrichment facilities today.
2018 Since the collapse of the historic nuclear deal, Iran has abandoned all restrictions on its nuclear activities and is enriching uranium to 60%, close to the 90% limit.
