The New York Times reports that Donald Trump's close adviser, Elon Musk, met with Iran's ambassador to the United Nations on Monday in New York. According to Iranian sources, the two discussed easing the tension between Iran and the USA.
Iranian sources said that Musk and Ambassador Amir Saeid Iravani met secretly for over an hour and described it as "positive" and "good news."
When asked if there had been such a meeting, Stephen Chung, Donald Trump's director of communications, said, "We do not comment on reports of private meetings that have or have not taken place."
