Starmer and Aliyev discussed the peace process between Baku and Yerevan

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, on November 12. During this meeting, the peace process between Baku and Yerevan was also discussed.

Aliyev noted that the negotiations on the peace agreement between the parties are ongoing. "A significant part of the text of the agreement has already been agreed upon; there is serious progress in the demarcation between Armenia and Azerbaijan, not only demarcation but also demarcation of the borderline with a length of more than 12 km, and an agreement was reached at the last meeting of the commission to advance this process."

At the same time, Aliyev announced the importance of excluding territorial claims against Azerbaijan from the Armenian constitution.

The President of Azerbaijan emphasized the importance of preparing people for peace to advance the peace process and sign a peace treaty.
