The Central Command of the US Armed Forces (CENTCOM) announced that the American military has struck 9 facilities in Syria, which are connected with pro-Iranian groups operating in that country.
According to the statement, the strikes are in response to recent attacks on US personnel in Syria.
CENTCOM said the strikes would reduce the ability of Iran-backed groups to plan and carry out attacks on US and international coalition forces.
