The opening ceremony of COP29 has started in Azerbaijan. Ilham Aliyev and UN Secretary-General Guterres are welcoming the guests.
The Presidents of Cyprus, Poland, Spain, Denmark, Hungary, Pakistan, Egypt, the United Kingdom, Turkey, the Vice President of Iran, Georgia, and Belarus, and other officials arrived in Baku to participate in the conference.
Armenia has also received an invitation to participate in COP29. Still, Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan said that Armenia has not yet decided whether to attend the conference, which will start in Baku.
