Scholz and Trump had a phone conversation

On the evening of November 10, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz had the first official telephone conversation with newly elected US President Donald Trump. The parties discussed continuing the "former cooperation" between Berlin and Washington.

Scholz offered Trump the opportunity to "continue decades of successful cooperation between the two countries' governments." During the conversation, the two figures discussed geopolitical issues and agreed to work together to restore peace to Europe.
