Israel is not interested in interfering in Lebanon's internal politics

At the end of September, the destruction of the leader of the radical Shiite movement "Hezbollah" by Israeli forces, Hassan Nasrallah, became Israel's "crown achievement" in the fight against Lebanese Islamists, and the movement, which is recognized as a terrorist organization in Germany, the United States, Israel and several Arab countries, can be Israel's new Defense Minister Israel Katz announced this.

"Now our task is to continue to apply pressure to reap the fruits of this victory," the minister was quoted as saying by Reuters, adding that Israel is not interested in interfering in Lebanon's internal politics, as the minister did not clarify the meaning of his statement. Still, it may be a reference to the events of 2006, the Tzahal military operation against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, to the operation, which led to protracted hostilities in the region. In Israel, these events are called the Second Lebanon War.
