Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili stated after the meeting with the deputies of the parliaments of the European Union countries that the government "practically captured all the institutions of the country."
The chairpersons of the foreign relations committees of the parliaments of Germany, Finland, Sweden, France, Lithuania, Estonia, and Poland are in Tbilisi. Parliament speaker Shalva Papuashvili refused to meet with them.
"We are entering a crisis. Judging by yesterday's statements of the chairman of the Central Electoral Commission, it is obvious what decision will be made. There can be no surprises here; the crisis is present, and our friends are here to find and reach the ways Georgia can get out of this crisis," Zurabishvili said.
He believes the just way out of the crisis is "new elections so that Georgia gets a legitimate parliament, a legitimate government, and a legitimate new president when the time comes."
According to Zurabishvili, the elections were rigged "with the help of others."
