The accusation of a possible assassination attempt on Trump is called baseless in Iran

The representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Esmail Baghai, referred to the accusations that Iran wants to kill Trump.

Bagai described the accusations made by the United States against Iran related to Iran's attempts to assassinate President-elect Donald Trump as unfortunate, saying that the American authorities are easily risking their reputation by raising baseless questions.

He noted that the United States made a similar statement in October 2011, saying that Iran tried to kill a high-ranking official and that accusation, according to the representative, was aimed at creating discord between Iran and that country in the region.

Bagai characterized the US's behavior as "laying mines" in diplomatic relations.
