The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan issued a statement stating progress in the peace treaty negotiations with Armenia. Still, they added that there are "certain challenges and risks" for the conclusion of the peace negotiations.
"Important progress has been made in the bilateral negotiations initiated by Azerbaijan with Armenia. However, despite the progress of the negotiations, challenges and risks to the successful conclusion of the peace negotiations remain," the statement said. Among the risks and challenges, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs mentioned "the militarization of Armenia and the territorial ambitions against Azerbaijan preserved in the Constitution."
