Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wrote in an article published in the French newspaper Le Figaro that despite current challenges and growing risks of conflict, Kazakhstan supports peace processes and inter-civilizational dialogue.
"By providing Azerbaijan and Armenia with a platform for negotiating a peace treaty, we fully support the aspirations of both countries to open a new page in relations.
Astana also hosted peace talks on Syria and served as a platform for multilateral discussions on Iran's nuclear program. Finally, we regularly organize conferences of religious leaders that serve as unique venues for promoting interfaith dialogue.
All these actions reflect our shared values of solidarity, equality, and peace, which are the main principles we share with France," Tokayev said.
