The Pentagon has announced a new $425 million aid package to Ukraine

The United States has allocated a new military aid package of 425 million dollars to Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense of the country announced.

As the Pentagon notes, this tranche has been the 69th since August 2021. As part of the new aid package, Ukraine will receive "additional capabilities to meet its most urgent security and defense needs, including air-to-air interception systems, ammunition for missile and artillery systems, armored vehicles and anti-tank weapons."

The package, in particular, includes ammunition for NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems, Stinger missiles, equipment and ammunition for countering unmanned systems, aircraft ammunition, HIMARS systems, 155 mm and 105 mm artillery shells, and several other weapons.

According to the Pentagon, the United States will continue to work with nearly 50 allies and partners through the Ukraine Defense Contact Group and related coalitions to "support Ukraine in meeting its critical needs on the battlefield."
