India and China have completed the withdrawal of military units and equipment from the disputed Himalayan region of Ladakh, officially ending a four-year standoff.
Currently, the parties are checking the border and preparing for further patrolling, according to the Hindustan Times.
The final inspection is being carried out by the October 21 agreement between India and China to de-escalate border tensions.
The parties will conduct a joint inspection of the withdrawal of troops and military equipment at a mutually agreed distance from the demarcation line, after which they will begin patrolling their border regions.
