The DPRK has tested an intercontinental ballistic missile

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea has launched an intercontinental ballistic missile in a test. The country's leader, Kim Jong Un, was present and gave a speech.

"This launch is a just and fully legitimate military measure that demonstrates our determination to respond to enemies who have threatened the security of the republic and have been deliberately escalating the security situation in the region recently," Kim Jong Un said.

The Ministry of Defense of Japan responded to the incident, noting that the DPRK missile lasted 86 minutes and reached an altitude of more than 7,000 km.
