The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, stated that it is impossible to have close relations with Russia and join the European Union at the same time.
"If the Georgian authorities are ready to return to the path of European integration, we offer them a concrete plan to repeal the Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence, which harms civil society and the media, as well as to repeal the Law on Protection of Family Values, because discrimination it is not our value," he said.
Borrell also announced the need to investigate "serious violations" in the October 26 parliamentary elections and accused the authorities of "moving the country away from the EU, its values and principles."
