Le Monde reports that using the Strava sports application, they were able to track the movements of the Federal Security Service employees responsible for Putin's security.
As noted, the journalists found six of Putin's bodyguards through Strava's public accounts and tracked their movements.
It is noted that the employees published information about their movement in Blagoveshchensk in September 2023. Just then, near that city, Putin met with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. Meanwhile, the details of the said meeting were kept strictly secret.
In addition, Putin's bodyguards have reportedly trained regularly near the Gelendzhik Palace since 2019. As Le Monde writes, this may indicate that Putin visited the palace, the ownership of which he denies in every way.
Journalists also discovered that on August 4, 2021, one of the FSB employees ran around Putin's secret summer house on the shores of Lake Ladoga in Karelia.
According to an investigation by Le Monde, the app was used by the security guards of French President Emmanuel Macron, US President Joe Biden, and other famous figures, including Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.
