More than 51 million people in the US voted early

More than 51 million voters in the United States exercised their right to vote early a week before the November 5 presidential election.

According to The Hill, millions of Americans continue to vote by mail and at the polls ahead of the 60th presidential election.

In states that allow early voting, more than 24 million people voted by mail, and about 27 million voted in person.

Key states like Michigan, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina have already registered more than 1.44 million early votes.

Early voting will continue until Election Day, and votes cast by mail or at the polls will be counted along with those cast on November 5 after the polls close.

The 2020 US presidential election saw a record turnout of 66.6%, with nearly 159 million people voting.
