"We cannot break the relations with the neighbors." Minister of Finance of Turkey

Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek said Turkey cannot stop relations with Russia despite Western sanctions.
"We cannot simply sever relations with our neighbors, including Russia. The Russian Federation is our essential and central neighbor and partner.
A significant part of our industry depends on and operates on Russian natural gas, an extremely important factor. This is also why we cannot stop cooperating with Russia," he said.
