Using Russian data, the Houthis have increased their attacks on merchant ships

Russia passed Russian satellite data to Yemen's Houthis to launch drone and missile attacks on merchant ships in the Red Sea. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) newspaper on October 24, citing representatives of defense ministries of European countries and other sources.

According to one of the newspaper's interlocutors, Russian satellite data was transmitted through the members of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Russia's targeting has allowed the Houthis to expand the scale of their strikes. The Russian authorities did not comment on The Wall Street Journal's publication.
