Today, 81 deputies of the ruling "Georgian Dream" party of Georgia signed the document demanding the impeachment of President Salome Zurabishvili.
The validity of the deputies' signatures was discussed and confirmed at the parliamentary committee session on procedural issues and regulations.
"Georgian Dream" accuses Zurabishvili of violating sub-paragraph "A" of Article 52 of the Constitution of Georgia, according to which the president exercises his representative powers in foreign relations in agreement with the government.
Most of the ruling party is trying to force Salome Zurabishvili's resignation through impeachment for the second time.
The support of 100 deputies is needed to complete the process.
