The US military conducted precision strikes on weapons depots in Yemen's Houthi-controlled areas.
US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said the strikes targeted facilities that store components for weapons the Houthis use to attack civilian and military ships in the region.
Austin noted that B-2 Spirit bombers participated in the operation.
According to him, President Joe Biden permitted the strike.
