Iran's President Masoud Pezeshikian received the delegation led by Azerbaijan's Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev.
Pezeshkian stressed the importance of developing relations between Azerbaijan and Iran and accelerating the implementation of agreements.
Pezeshkian noted that Iran welcomes the creation of railways and roads between the two countries and wants to continue and expand cooperation in energy and agriculture.
For his part, Mustafayev stated that Azerbaijan is ready to expand relations with Iran, which are of great importance in the fields of economy, trade, energy, culture, transit, completion and development of typical road and railway lines between the two countries, as well as security and defense.
Mustafayev expressed hope that the Iranian president will participate in the COP29 event.
