"There is a development related to the Armenian side; it will become clear in the next few days." Minister of Transport of Turkey

The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey, Abdulkadir Uraloglu, addressed the topic of the "Zangezur Corridor" on the air of one of the Turkish podcasts a few days ago.

"Zangezuri Corridor" is an alternative or a corridor to the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars line that will increase its capacity. The project will cross the Caspian Sea, from Azerbaijan to Armenia or Iran, and from there to Nakhichevan to Diluju, Igdir, and Kars. The important parts of the Azerbaijani side have been built. The restoration works of the existing line on the Nakhichevan side will begin. We have held the tenders for the 224 km on the Turkish side. Next, we will start the construction," said the Turkish minister.

"Will it go through Iran or Armenia?" Azerbaijan directly conducts these negotiations with the parties. In the beginning, quite a bit of progress was made in the case of Iran; in recent days, there is a development related to the Armenian side, which will become apparent in the next few days," Uraloglu emphasized.

According to the minister, they will soon join the Turkish world through the shortest corridor through Azerbaijan.
