The meeting of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has started in the Kremlin.
Putin stated that relations between Russia and Azerbaijan are developing positively.
"Yesterday evening, at the informal meeting, we touched upon topics related to the current situation of our relations. And I want to note at once that relations are developing positively," said Putin. According to him, the two countries' trade turnover is more than 4 billion dollars, and Russia has also made investments in Azerbaijan. "And all of them are promising projects; they are real, live projects," he said.
At the end of October, Putin invited Aliyev to Kazan for the BRICS summit.
