French President Emmanuel Macron has called for an end to arms supplies to Israel for its war in the Gaza Strip.
"We condemned the terrorist act of Hamas on October 7 and recognized Israel's right to defend itself, but as a democratic state. Israel must respect international and humanitarian law," the French president said on France Inter radio.
Macron emphasized that the priority is to return to the political solution of the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
