Baku responded to the statement of the RA Foreign Ministry

The Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan responded to the statement of Ani Badalyan, spokesperson of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Aykhan Hajizadeh, the press secretary of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that Armenia "is not interested in a stable peace and seeks to maintain this situation as a backup option for launching aggression against Azerbaijan in the future."

"Armenia should refrain from contradictory statements, show respect for the norms and principles of international law with real steps," he said, according to the APA agency.

It should be noted that earlier, the spokesperson of the RA Foreign Ministry, Ani Badalyan, stated that Armenia acquires weapons and equipment only to realize the right of self-defense and the obligation to protect its citizens.

"We think that instead of aggressive rhetoric, we should focus on resolving the issue of signing the Peace Treaty as soon as possible and negotiating on other issues not only in de facto but also in de jure peace conditions," said the spokesperson of the RA Foreign Ministry.
