The Ministry of Health of Lebanon reports that at least six people were killed in an Israeli airstrike in the center of Beirut on Wednesday evening.
It is also reported about 11 wounded.
The Israel Defense Forces reported earlier that it had struck a Hezbollah target in Beirut. According to Lebanese sources, the medical center belonging to "Hezbollah" was damaged as a result of the strike.
BBC correspondents working in the Lebanese capital reported a powerful explosion in the city's center. Three explosions also thundered south of Beirut, followed by two more.
