"Khamenei took such a step because it was the only possible response to Israel's attack on Hezbollah, as well as revenge for the destruction of the leader of Hamas," the newspaper writes.
The article also says that with such an attack, Iran intended to restore members' confidence in its "axis of resistance" and counter any perception that Iran or its regional allies are weak.
