On Monday night, 4 people were killed as a result of an Israeli attack on a residential house in the center of Beirut, the BBC reports, referring to AFP.
An Israeli drone struck a building belonging to members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine PFLP in the Cola district. In the footage taken from the scene, it can be seen that one of the floors of the apartment building was destroyed. After the impact, a fire broke out there.
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) announced that three of its leaders were killed in the strike.
According to AFP, among those killed are the head of the Security Service, Mohammad Abdel-Aal, commander Imad Odeh, as well as Abdelrahman Abdel-Aal. This is the first blow struck within the city limits during the current escalation. Earlier, the Israeli military attacked mainly the southern outskirts of Beirut, where Hezbollah facilities are located, and other areas of Lebanon.
The Israel Defense Forces has yet to comment on the reports. At night, TZAHAL reported only the attack on Hizbollah facilities in the east of Lebanon.
