As stated in the German Foreign Ministry message on X's microblog, Turkey is an important mediator in ensuring peace in the region and can play an essential role in establishing historical peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

"Concrete steps in this direction are a key part of the discussion," the message says.

The German Foreign Ministry published a photo of Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, which is attached to the message.
