The USA has developed sanctions against Bidzina Ivanishvili, the honorary president of "Georgian Dream" and former prime minister.
The US Treasury Department and the State Department will work on the sanctions package.
"We have information that Bidzina Ivanishvili has developed relations with Russian oligarchs to give Russia better access to the Georgian market. He took certain actions based on instructions from the Russian intelligence service," said a high-ranking US government official in an interview with "Voice of America."
