Washington established contact with Iran through unofficial channels. Washington Post

The Washington Post writes that Washington contacted Iran through unofficial channels and informed that the US had no part in the attack on "Hezbollah."

"It has nullified all chances of reaching an agreement on a cease-fire and the release of hostages in Gaza. Therefore, some US officials contacted Iran through closed channels, informing them that the US had nothing to do with the attack on "Hezbollah," claims Washington Post columnist David Ignatius.
