Russian President Vladimir Putin is demanding that his plane be escorted by fighter jets when he leaves for Turkey, fearing that Ukraine may attack him. Writes Middle East Eye.

The Turkish government can send fighter jets to escort foreign heads of state, but there has been no case of foreign heads of state requesting them. Russian officials are also concerned about hotels in Ankara, as American companies own three large hotels.
