"It is unacceptable." Hajizade on signing the contract with non-agreed points

Press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Aykhan Hajizade, answered the questions of the local media regarding the statements of the Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan regarding the "peace treaty" and communication.

According to Hajizadeh, although about 80% of the project's provisions have been agreed upon, some remain impossible to agree on.

"However, this does not mean that the agreement should be signed, as the Armenian side suggests, the non-agreed provisions should be removed from the project. This cannot be considered acceptable because for the peace agreement to be stable and successful, the problematic issues between the two countries should be clarified in several directions," he said.

The speaker again proposed that Armenia should make appropriate constitutional changes to sign the draft agreement.

"As for the statement about involving a foreign private company in the process in the territory of both countries, we note that Azerbaijan has never discussed the issue of involving a third party in its territory. If the Armenian side is interested in opening communications in the region, it should fulfill its obligations," Hajizade said.
