"Iran is in favor of stability and peace in the Caucasus and against the change of international borders," said Nasser Kanani, the spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, answering the question about the "Zangezur Corridor" during a briefing.
"In that sense, the news and analytical materials are based on the statements of the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and other representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry. Those statements gave rise to different opinions, and paying attention to their exact text is necessary. Some trans-regional countries are trying to create an unsafe environment and instability. We support strengthening regional mechanisms based on existing models, including the "3+3" format. We welcome the unblocking of communications to preserve the region's countries' independence, territorial integrity, and sovereignty."
