Turkey has submitted an official application for BRICS membership. Bloomberg reports this.
The media writes, referring to its sources, that "Turkey seeks to strengthen its global influence and establish new ties outside of traditional Western allies."
It should be noted that Azerbaijan also applied for membership in BRICS earlier.
