Russia and Ukraine agreed to hold talks. Le Monde

The French Le Monde writes that Ukraine and the Russian Federation, with the mediation of Qatar, agreed to hold talks in Doha at the beginning of August so as not to attack the energy infrastructure again. However, Moscow canceled the agreement after the attack of the armed forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region.

"The idea arose in mid-June, after the Ukraine peace summit in Switzerland. Qatar has proposed to hold talks on energy, in which Russia and Ukraine will participate for concrete, tangible results. However, the latest escalation (the Ukrainian invasion of Kursk) disrupted that decision," said Le Monde's diplomatic source.

Let's add that the American newspaper The Washington Post also wrote about this earlier.
